Introducing Chaeum Shape 10. Hugel Biopharmaceuticals has secured domestic approval for the sale of the 'Chaeum Shape 10,' a medical device for penis enlargement that utilizes hyaluronic acid (HA). This marks the first time such a license has been granted in Korea by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

Hugel has announced its imminent commencement of full-scale production, intending to supply the medical device to domestic hospitals and clinics through Hugel Pharmaceuticals. Unlike past methods that involved implants and incisions for penis enlargement, the 'Chaeum Shape 10' utilizes HA filler, addressing concerns about potential side effects associated with foreign body insertion.

This pioneering device, the first of its kind in Korea, has received marketing approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Hugel is optimistic about the reduced side effects and biocompatibility of the procedure, as it utilizes HA filler products with hyaluronic acid derived from human tissues and neural tissues.

The 'Chaeum Shape 10' underwent extensive safety and efficacy testing through clinical trials for penis enlargement since its development initiation in 2012. Additionally, the production capacity has been increased from the conventional 1 ml for facial fillers to 10 ml for high-capacity injections.

Kim Jong-ik, Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at Hugel Pharma, emphasized the significance of being the first in Korea to conduct clinical trials for a filler product specifically designed for penis enlargement. Hugel's HA filler has already received licenses in 11 countries, and the company is actively pursuing additional licenses in Asia and Latin America, with plans to enter the European market in the future.
